Payment
Our payments systems work through Pay Pal, on a separate secure server. Payment must be made in full by either a Visa card or Master card before goods are delivered. If you wish to make a payment using a different method contact one of our sales representatives and we will do our best to help.
Delivery
We reserve the right to change any services, product prices, product specifications and availability at any time. All prices and descriptions supersede all previous publications. All sizes are approximate. We cannot guarantee that colours and details in images are accurate representations of the product.
Delivery dates and stock due dates do not form part of any contract with us and we cannot be held liable for any losses whether direct or indirect if your order is delayed or not delivered by any dates that may have been given by us. Our products are intended for use in a domestic private residential setting only and we provide no guarantees for their suitability outside of this. In particular we do not provide any guarantees if they are used in a commercial, public or contract environment. A delivery charge applies to all home deliveries. This service is carried out by a trained 2 man team. A re delivery charge will be imposed if no one is at home to accept delivery. The BIG Furniture Sale must be advised of all cancellations of booked deliveries at least forty eight hours before a scheduled delivery.
Please note the size and dimensions of merchandise you have ordered and ensure that the item of furniture will fit the designed room and through any passages, stairwells, landings and doorways on the way to its destination. The BIG Furniture Sale will not accept responsibility for any furniture that will not fit into its intended location. Before receiving delivery of your furniture please ensure access routes including door frames and flooring are protected. Failure to do so may result in your furniture not being placed in the room intended. The BIG Furniture Sale will not be held responsible for any damage caused where floor covering protection was not used. If the product you have purchased includes assembly please have the area prepared, if it is deemed the area is not safe, for instance, still under construction or renovation we reserve the right to leave to goods in their original packaging. We can revisit to assemble at a later stage however this service will have to be paid for.
The company shall under no circumstances be held liable for any losses special to the particular circumstances of the customer, indirect or consequential losses or for loss of profits, damage or property or wasted expenditure.
Collection
All items must be paid for in full prior to collection. Customers must be in possession of original Sales Order and must present this as proof of payment. Please check our collection hours by calling ahead. Please consider the dimensions and size of the vehicle you're collecting in as The BIG Furniture Sale will not be responsible if your purchase will not fit and delivery is required.
Cancellation
Special Orders: Cancellations or changes will be permitted with-in 7 days of order date and only if The BIG Furniture Sale can do so with the manufacturer. Your deposit will be forfeited on any orders we are unable to cancel or alter. General Stock orders: Cancellations or changes will be permitted with-in 7 days of order date and only if The BIG Furniture Sale can do so with the manufacturer. Your deposit in this instance can be transferred to another item.
Damage
Customers must report any damages i.e. scratches, dents, chips, tears, soiling etc. within 24 hours of delivery. It is important that each item is carefully and thoroughly inspected by you or your authorized agent immediately upon delivery. The BIG Furniture Sale will not be responsible for any damage not reported within 24 hours.
Warranties
The BIG Furniture Sale takes pride in the products and service it offers. While we carefully advise you of the manufacturer's reputation, quality and design, the actual choice and selection is the customer's responsibility. We warrant that all merchandise will be delivered in a condition which meets the standards set by the manufacturers. We offer a 1 year warranty on all furniture goods; this does not include normal wear and tear. We will send out an assessor to view the goods. If it is deemed the damage is due to normal wear and tear you will be liable for the cost of this assessment. If your claim is just we reserve the right to repair, replace or exchange the item. We will not refund. No warranty or change of terms and conditions either expressed or implied shall be valid unless documented on this contract and approved by management. Your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Service Act 1980 are not affected. Retention of title remains with The BIG Furniture Sale until goods are fully paid for.
Returns
We do not offer free returns on furniture items. A re-stocking charge for salable goods returned will apply. This charge will be notified to you at the point of agreement to accept the return on The BIG Furniture Sale's part. This returns option is only available up to 7 days after purchase. We are unable to refund or exchange damaged or imperfect goods where imperfection was identified to you prior to purchase. Mattresses can not be returned due to health and hygiene issues once the packaging has been opened. We will replace damaged goods on presentation to our collection point once this has been agreed by the store manager. All returns must be accompanied by proof of payment. All returns must be in their original packaging and condition. Giftware returns can be made direct to the store with proof of payment for exchange or credit. This must be done within 28 days of purchase. Giftware returns for refund only within 7 days of purchase, the refund will be given in the method of initial payment.
Storage
In stock items will only be held for 4 weeks. Storage fees will apply after this time if we have been unable to schedule deliver with you. The fee is €10 euro per item per week which will be applied to your account for payment before delivery. The BIG Furniture Sale reserve the right to deliver part orders where stock has been held for over 4 weeks.
Credit notes
Credit notes will be issued for returned items in saleable quality. This credit will be valid for 6 months ONLY. The credit can not be extended outside this date.
DESCRIPTION OF GOODS
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including Product Descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your order is accepted in accordance with our Order acceptance policy.
All sizes quoted are approximate. The illustrations of colours and covers are representative only. We make every effort to ensure that colours are as close as possible to the actual colours however there may be slight variations due to the nature of the medium. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation.
PRICES
All prices listed include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the Republic of Ireland at standard rate of 21%. Due to circumstances beyond our control prices may have to be increased or decreased including any alterations to VAT. The correct price you will pay will be on your printed order confirmation.
Any special offers will be priced accordingly showing the specific period this item is on special offer for.
ORDER ACCEPTANCE POLICY
Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch of the products ordered to you unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
The identification of a pricing or product description error
You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions
If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by our Customer Services Representatives.
The sales contract is therefore completed in Republic of Ireland .
We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
